updates...

here's some updates on what's happening in my life.

i've started work in my church as admin. basically doing everything that i'm told. lol... well, it's good working in church. i enjoy doing stuff for church. haha.. these few days busy setting up the network in church as well as setting up the computers. Got a new computer in, and for the old one, the harddisk crashed, so got a new harddisk and gotta reinstall everything back in. now problem is recovering the stuff in the dead disks. gonna cost money man.

anyway, my D70 kit lens was sent for servicing. the focusing is very slow. it turns out that it was the silent wave motor that has spoilt. so to service it, i had to pay $294, inc. GST, to have it replaced. $294!!! wow... that's a big hole in my pocket...

i managed to set up my online portfolio. i use simple viewer, hosting by awardspace. and while trying to get it to work, i found out that as a free subscriber to awardspace, there's this hotlink protection. so i cannot put my photos in awardspace and get the page to display them. after alot of searching around for a solution, i found a post by a nice guy in the awardspace forums. i pmed him and he replied within a few hours!! the solution is to host the images at another site, like photobucket, for example, and link the images to my site. ohh thank God. u can visit my portfolio at http://jonnie84.awardspace.com/ .

davinci code the movie is screening tomorrow liao, but i havent finish reading the book yet. only finished 19 chapters out of 100+. so much stuff to do. havent even got time to go and enjoy all the anime that i downloaded.

oh well... time is never enough anyway...

my god-sis wedding

attended my god-sis wedding last week. took some photos too. but the photos weren't good enough. still a long way to go before i can strike out on my own as a wedding photographer. but nevertheless, i will work hard!!

here are some shots. yeah i know, alot to improve on. wasn't easy at all, plus my lens' auto focusing died on me. brought to Nikon Service Centre, turns out that the Silent Wave Motor spoilt. costs $300 to repair!! oh my... now i'm really broke. enough talking. here's the photos.

this one, focus is off for the hand n ring.. hmm...should've used a smaller aperture. i think so...

angle is not too good for this one. hard to find good angle. no time man. wedding photography is hard.

四湾岛

went to 四湾岛 on labour day with some of my church brothers n sisters. went there for seafood, though i not so keen on it. lazy to eat crab/prawn/lobster. so troublesome to eat. ya, i'm that lazy, if you still don't know.

anyway i took some photos on the way there and back. mostly taken on the way there. on way back started to rain liaoz. trying out some post processing on the photos. i'm really new at post processing. still got lots to learn. pls feel free to critique and comment on the photos.
